Edmonton Christmas Bureau

By Amy Hancock

"It's a chance to put the true meaning of the season back into practice," states the Edmonton Christmas Bureau, Edmonton's oldest non-profit organization. They have been providing a Christmas meal for those in need since 1940. For over 70 years Edmontonians have contributed to providing and delivering a food hamper to the least fortunate in our community. They have been able to make the season's brighter for over 70,000 people who need it the most. "Those we assist receive more than a meal. It's Christmas with hope and dignity." This year the Edmonton Christmas Bureau needs to raise 1.8 million dollars to reach their campaign goals.
